Bob Saget’s daughter Lara breaks silence on his death

Bob Saget’s daughter Lara penned a heartfelt tribute to her late dad on Instagram Thursday.

Lara, Saget’s daughter with ex-wife Sherri Kramer, began her post, “To anyone afraid to love, unconditional love is the greatest of gifts..”

“My dad loved with everything he had,” she continued, alongside a shot of her and her dad sharing a sweet moment on a shoot. “He had so many reasons to be scared to love. Many loved ones kept dropping the body.”

But, Lara noted, “Instead of being scared, he loved more. I am beyond grateful to receive and to give that love.

“Love completely and be kind. Of all the lessons he taught me, these feel the biggest. With love ❤️”

Lara, 32, had spoken with her family in a joint statement made following Saget’s unexpected death earlier this month, asking for privacy as they mourned the loss of the comic and actor often referred to as “America’s dad.”

“We invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world,” the family’s statement closed. They were joined by a host of A-listers from across the entertainment industry for Saget’s funeral Jan. 14 in Los Angeles.

Lara is a sculptor and painter who attended Barnard College. She explained in an August 2021 interview that she co-founded the collective “Studio 200” with her sister Aubrey in 2013 and that the pair have been “curating pop-up shows throughout the city and Brooklyn since 2013. Her sculpture “The Roots of Tuckahoe Marble” is on display at Clumber Corner in DUMBO until May 16.
